AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV💗💛💚

As we all know this is the 76th year of Independence day coming up. As we have passed successfully through those 75 years after getting independence, it is the year of celebrations. We also celebrate our Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with an invited talk by Mrs Mathu Saji, the senior sub-editor of Mathrubhumi News. It was one of the beautiful talk sessions I have ever attended. As she happens to be my relative, I was really excited to have her in my college to celebrate the Independence day. She shared some of valuable opinions regarding the true essence of independence as well as freedom. After the talk. we had an interactive q and a session where she encountered the questions fearlessly. Post the Q n A session, Prajitha from Social science, put forth some valid points regarding the issues faced by the minority sections who remain under privileged even after these much years of Indian Independence. In the afternoon, the students took part in cultural events recalling the true nature of Nati...

Say no to war, Anti-war talk and photo exhibition

Today, on August 10, in the commemoration of the Hiroshima- Nagasaki week, an Anti-war talk was conducted followed by a photograph exhibition. The talk was presided by our dear principal. Dr. K.Y.Benedict sir who held difference in opinion in naming the talk as anti war and not love friendly.  The talk was headed by Dr, Thomasukutty P.G., Vice- Principal, Mar Gregorius Law College, Nalanchira. He could effectively enlighten us regarding the horrors of war approaching it from a law perspective. The chief guest inaugurated the photo exhibition which consisted of the photographs that reflected the poignant realities of war in people's lives. It was yet another wonderful day at college where we could receive a group of school students from the schools nearby, mainly from Sarvodaya schools. The children could keenly observe the issues resulted to war. As the representatives future of our country, they need to realize the importance of peace and they need to negate the existence of hatre...
Second semester is progressing like anything. Today, we had three hours of optional class, where we felt like returning home, to our dear Meekha mam where we had our Micro teaching lesson plan writing session which went really good. The next two hours were dealt by dear Joju sir who deals with the subject, Assessment. He gave an introduction to assessment. During those two months of vacation and series of exam sessions, we hardly got quality time to spent with each other in class. We are looking foward to this short semester where we can build our bonds stronger.
Just like any other, today also went away. Except from the usual class, there was an eye test camp named IRIS organised by the association of Natural Science Class. A group from Dr Agarwal’s eye hospital visited us for eye checkup. There were four people in their group. It was a nice experience to get my eyes checked free of cost😂. I was advised to  continue using my glasses.More than hundred people took eye tests. That sums up the day😊

International women’s day celebration😊

Image
And It was a memorable international women’s day celebration 😊. During the first two hours dear Maya man gave an opportunity to our dear male members of the class to deliver a message on the day and all of them literally, all of them had some or the other valid point to make. Yes we can surely hope for a better no, the best society in the future. During the next two hours we had Yoga class led by dear George sir who familiarised everyone with 6 asanas like dhanurasana, padmasana etc. After which, we had English optionals where we had to work on content analysis. From 2 :30, the celebrations began😊 where I got an opportunity to perform with dear Kavya. It was yet another beautiful experience being on stage😊 happily singing one of your favourite songs. The programme conducted by the women's cell was so refreshing😌 and in the end I got an opportunity to be a part of the quiz competition and win a munch😁. All the best for the co-ordinator Bindu mam and the students for future ven...

Yet another week

Yet another week started together.. Life is getting more difficult and busier these days. Exams are getting nearer and teachers are literally panting to finish the portions where the students are juggling with the assignments. Today, the first two hours we had optional where we discussed lesson plan; in the absence of dear Meekha mam. In the next hours we had dear Maya mam to guide our seminar presentation... some discussions were also surprisingly initiated after class😊 In the next two hours, we had dear Ancy mam with Vygotsky’s and Choamsky’s theories of Language Development.

Day 2 International Seminar

Final day of the International seminar held at MTTC. It can be considered as a significant opportunity where we could listen to many presentations of faculty members of colleges, Researches , Student teachers on Blended Learning. Dear Shiney mam was very supportive in dealing effectively with the duties of the day. Hopefully waiting for yet another seminar next year.😊
