Cultural visit day

As part of the cultural visit prescribed in the syllabus, we , the bunch of 100 went to the GuruGopinath Natana Gramam, a cultural centre, named after the late Dr. Guru Gopinath, a pioneer reformer of Kathakali dance, situated at Vattiyoorkavu, a suburb of capital city Thiruvananthapuram. The Guru Gopinath Natanagramam has been established as a centre for learning, training and research in various Indian Dance forms, particularly Kerala Natanam, the dance form composed by the maestro Guru Gopinath. The institution carries on the attempts initiated by the Guru to popularise the dance forms of Kerala and to find fresh talents. We had a presentation on the cultural centre showing the significance of Keralanatanam taken up by Dr Sajeev Nair, an amazing personality, disciple of Guru Gopinath. After attending the same , we had the privilege to explore the nooks and corners of the center. The museum was a significant experience. After spending nearly five hours watching the magnificent piec

The final day ❤️

Yes ...today was the very last day of our Induction Programme at Sarvodaya Central School. In the morning, we got to attend the assembly conducted by the 12 D class which was systematically great. They danced, sang and what not. Most of group members had to go to the KG sections as teachers invited them. But we had to check and prepare the final mark list for the evaluation of the Class magazines. But we could finish the tabulation only at 5😅. We really enjoyed every bit of whatever we got. During the lunchtime, we thought of eating outside😅 and we ordered online and had a great meal together❤️.  Though we didn't have much work to do at school, whatever work we got could be done effectively. We could have an interaction programme with the Principal which lasted for nearly 1 hour where he discussed the issues school encounter and the concerns teacher have, after which we could click a picture with Father Santhan Cheruvil, the principal and gave us gifts too❤️😊 .... Thanks to every

Aaah... and thats the end of the second last day of the induction programme and the end is at hand☺️ This would be the most memorable day of our induction programme. Yes.. it was the school re-opening day of the students from KG section to 9th standard. Imagine  those munchkins coming to their second home, their school for the first time ever☺️❤️ We all were overwhelmed watching the  kids with their little bags ,struggling with the masks😒, waving goodbyes to their dear ones waiting outside ☺️ and what not. We could observe the school assembly and we got the chance to stay with the children taking care of them. Above all, we were lucky enough to accompany the teachers at the pre-primary and primary classes. 😊Along with Arya , I could attend to the sweetest ever children of the class UKG❤️ Aww... what a loveable experience was that! I couldn't think of more happy moments. We could sit with the children and help them with the English alphabets. We really got surprised meeting some

The Third chapter of the Induction programme

And yes... we have come to the end of the third day of the induction programme at Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya. We all had plans for the day in the morning itself... It was the EXPLORATION day... we went to the nooks and corners of the school and yes we really had a great time visiting all the classes, the labs, The Atal centre and especially the children’s play area 😁. After so many years, we got to be at the rides, the see-saw and the swings. That was yet  another trip through the childhood memories❤️. We could find out how  the areas are maintained systematically and kept neatly. The lab technicians disclosed their concerns regarding the children who could never spend time for the practicals in the lab during the pandemic. We are lucky enough to have completed our school and college days in the pre-pandemic era.  Let us the hope for the Better days... In the afternoon we could complete the evaluation of the class magazines of the higher secondary section. We got really amazed with t

And it was the second day of the induction programme at Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya 😊. All of us could come early to the school. In the third hour, along with Sister Jomsy  I could attend and observe 11 A class where Abhilash sir took up the lesson ‘Birth’ by A J Cronin. I was overwhelmed by the memories of myself dealing with the same chapter at St Thomas School, my dearest alma mater. I still remember one of my dear teachers, Mrs Shailaja mam reading out the text loud. Besides everything, I was lifted to my sweet school memories and the lessons which prompted me to take up English for life. Induction programme is an exciting experience as I could sit in a school class dealing with a chapter again which was once explored. We all had a good time in the afternoon. Especially, me, along with Krishna and Aravind, was assigned to go through the class magazines as part of the competition between classes, 10 , 11 and 12.

Another Chapter- The induction programme😊

And after long days of waiting and thought, we could attend our first day of the Induction programme 2022.  Along with 9 dear friends from different optionals, I was allotted to attend the same at Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya, a renowned CBSE school in Trivandrum which fortunately comes under our own management. Though we all were puzzled to know how this programme would start, we could manage well at the school. In the first two hours along with dear Jomsy sister, I got the chance to attend and observe the proceedings of the class 12 A and 10 B respectively. The performance of teaching faculty was great. The way they present the topics and deal with the doubts of the students was splendid. In the afternoon, we could spend time at the library. Though nothing spectacular happened on the day, the experience was commendable. Hope to have more memorable experiences at the school where we are neither students nor teachers.😊

Another happy day😊

It was just another rare happy day . In the first hour we had dear Joju sir’s class where Maths people started presenting their seminars... they attempted it very well... in the second hour dear Maya mam continued dealing with the methods of education of naturalism and stressed on the concept of Negative education. We had a physical education hour where dear George sir took a theory class and after that we had Arts and aesthetics class conducted by one of the members of the visiting faculty, Mr Reju R Nair, fortunately who is a dear friend of mine. Though we have been in touch since 2017, this was my very first chance to attend his art and aesthetics or drama workshop. We all enjoyed thoroughly... we are hopefully waiting for even more splendid experiences...

Already Feb😿

Haaa... its the beginning of the second month of this year😓 Unbelievable ! Right? I too got shocked... anyway...time is ahead us and passes fast... Online classes are proceeding great. But still we all are under the fear of catching Covid😌😓 May be for a second time? Huh?... Everything may come to normal... lets wait for it😊... As far as the academics is concerned, we had three hours today. First hour we had dear George sir’s class where he dealt with the importance of Physical education as a discipline. In the second hour, we had dear Giby mam’s lecture on different methods of Studying behaviours in Psychology. She started off with the method introspection and gave us a chance to introspect while in class too. Last hour we had optionals where dear Meekha mam dealt with Lesson planning using Jam board. Though getting accustomed to virtual classes takes time , we are happy with our online classes as we are getting used to new techniques like Jam board . These let us get adjusted wit
