Cultural visit day

 

As part of the cultural visit prescribed in the syllabus, we , the bunch of 100 went to the GuruGopinath Natana Gramam, a cultural
centre, named after the late Dr. Guru Gopinath, a pioneer reformer of Kathakali dance, situated at Vattiyoorkavu, a suburb of capital city Thiruvananthapuram.
The Guru Gopinath Natanagramam has been established as a centre for learning, training and research in various Indian Dance forms, particularly Kerala Natanam, the dance form composed by the maestro Guru Gopinath. The institution carries on the attempts initiated by the Guru to popularise the dance forms of Kerala and to find fresh talents.
We had a presentation on the cultural centre showing the significance of Keralanatanam taken up by Dr Sajeev Nair, an amazing personality, disciple of Guru Gopinath. After attending the same , we had the privilege to explore the nooks and corners of the center. The museum was a significant experience.
After spending nearly five hours watching the magnificent pieces of art together, we had lunch along with our dear techers, Maya Mam, Ancy Mam and Joju Sir. It was a very memorable day☺️

Amidst the Gandhian Thoughts

 Yet another happy day which started off with Gandhi Dharshan programmes inaugurated by Dr. Jacob Pulikken, Director, Gandhi Dharshan. The programme began with a beautiful dance programme of std 7 kids which was a colourful one.Another Student , Abhinav dressed up as Gandhiji, who let us remember the importance of his eternal thoughts of truthfulness and non violence.The guest was welcomed by the Head Mistress of St Gorettis HS, Sr Acquina. As teacher trainees, we could offer our selfless help to ensure proper co-ordination of the programme.Student Police Cadets also contributed well for the programme. Looking forward to more programmes in the last phase at this school.

DIAGNOSTIC TEST

A diagnostic test was held for the students which is a form of test where teachers can evaluate students' strengths, weaknesses, knowledge and skills before their instruction. These assessments are typically low-stakes and usually don't count for grades. Most of the students were present for the test. In contrast with the achievement test, diagnostic test used the grammar portions only to check the students. Most of the students performed very well in the test securing good marks.
