CONTENT ANALYSIS

The simple present is a verb tense with two main uses. Simple present tense is used when an action is happening right now, or when it happens regularly (or unceasingly, which is why it’s sometimes called present indefinite). Depending on the person, the simple present tense is formed by using the root form or by adding s or es to the end.

The learner,

·        identifies different situations where simple tense is used

·        applies the subject-verb agreement rule to sentences in simple present tense.

·        learns to use simple present tense confidently in writing and communication.

The simple present tense is used in a sentence to represent an action or event that takes place or just happened in the given context at the present moment. It has other uses too, like to it talks about unchanging situations, facts, and planned events in the near future.
