Talent hunt day 2

 Monday was sunny and loaded with expectations as we had the second day of talent hunt. As expected, we enjoyed a lot. We sang, danced, howled and what not. The perks of being a BEd student, may be. As far as the academics are concerned, we had the first hour led by dear Maya mam who dealt with the functions of education in a very detailed manner. In the second hour we could meet Shafi sir, who brought up another orientation-like programme on how to go further with the studies in the coming 2 years. He could suggest some valuable points with regard to the preparation of exams. Since Archana mam was busy, Shafi sir went on with general discussions, sharing his personal anecdotes regarding teaching. It surely gave new insights. 

Today, we had the talent hunt of Malayalam and Social Science optionals respectively. Both the teams rocked and we could enjoy from the onset till the end. Joju sir came up with their evaluation where he stood as the source of ultimate inspiration who encouraged each and everyone involved, calling out their names.

Amidst the Gandhian Thoughts

 Yet another happy day which started off with Gandhi Dharshan programmes inaugurated by Dr. Jacob Pulikken, Director, Gandhi Dharshan. The programme began with a beautiful dance programme of std 7 kids which was a colourful one.Another Student , Abhinav dressed up as Gandhiji, who let us remember the importance of his eternal thoughts of truthfulness and non violence.The guest was welcomed by the Head Mistress of St Gorettis HS, Sr Acquina. As teacher trainees, we could offer our selfless help to ensure proper co-ordination of the programme.Student Police Cadets also contributed well for the programme. Looking forward to more programmes in the last phase at this school.

DIAGNOSTIC TEST

A diagnostic test was held for the students which is a form of test where teachers can evaluate students' strengths, weaknesses, knowledge and skills before their instruction. These assessments are typically low-stakes and usually don't count for grades. Most of the students were present for the test. In contrast with the achievement test, diagnostic test used the grammar portions only to check the students. Most of the students performed very well in the test securing good marks.
